Laser Hymenoplasty
Laser Hymenoplasty is a simple outpatient surgical procedure designed to restore a woman's hymen through surgical reconstruction. As an outpatient procedure, Laser Hymenoplasty requires no hospital stay.
Why do women want to restore their virginity?
A woman's viginity is valued for many reasons, the most common are cultural, religious, and social (although there can even be economic reasons as well). The traditional view is that a woman's hymen will be broken during a her first experience with sexual intercourse. The reality is that a woman's hymen may be broken through the use of tampons, horseback-riding, bicycle-riding, and other strenuous physical activities / sports.
Due to the cultural misconceptions relating a woman's hymen and her virginity, it may be desired to repair a torn hymen. This desire may stem from wanting to avoid the question from her husband or because she had a traumatic experience in her youth and her virginity was 'taken' from her against her will and she would like to be able to 'give' her virginity to her husband. In some cultures the need for hymen repair can be a matter of life-and-death. Some women have their virginity restored for their second honeymoon as a 'surprise' for their husbands.
Our mission is to empower women with knowledge, choice, and alternatives
Whatever her reason to have hymenoplasty performed, ultimately it is a woman's personal choice; and we are here to empower, not to judge.
A Solution for an Imperforate Hymen
At the opposite end of the spectrum from a hymen that tears early due to strenuous activity, is an imperforate hymen. Some women have more resiliant hymenal tissue. As such, their hymen will not tear during intercourse (initial or otherwise). At the extereme, this situation can be problematic and uncomfortable.
When a woman has an imperforate hymen, she can have a hymenectomy, surgical removal of the hymenal tissue. This procedure usually results in the complete opening of the hymen, thus a woman will not tear during intercourse after the surgery. If she wants to have this experience with her spouse, she can arrange for a slightly different procedure that will leave her hymen partially intact.
